For October we will be crafting for a local Lakewood-based dog rescue, All Dogs Heaven. Layla, the sweet little girl in the photo, is just one of the many dogs I am hoping we can help out. When I saw the post on the Lakewood Observer's page about Layla and her struggles, I just knew we could try to help in some small crafty way. Every little bit helps!
We will be decorating 100% cotton tote bags on Saturday, October 15th at the store, from noon to 8 pm. These bags are great for grocery shopping, I always have a stash in my car for shopping. Kids can use them while trick or treating, because Halloween is only a month away! We will be embellishing the bags with paint, fabric, all kinds of fun stuff. They will be only $5 each, with proceeds going to the shelter. This will be a great activity for all ages, kids and adults welcome. Save a tree(by using your own bag at the store) and help save a dog!
