Zentangle Illuminated Letter Class

CG is excited to exclusively offer the Zentangle Illuminated Letter Class in October! It will be a two-session class, Monday October 17th and Monday, October 24. Class times will be 6:30-8:30 pm both days. The class will be taught by Launie, our CZT(certified Zentangle Teacher.) The only prerequisite is Zentangle 101.

Class description:

Create a beautiful piece of Zentangle Inspired Art suitable for framing. This makes a lovely gift for the holidays or any occasion! "Gild" a large initial of your choosing, add color washes, tangle and shade. Tangles CAN be done in Black Micron Pen as well as Brown, Burgundy and Sepia. You should consider larger Micron Pens (.01 is the regular size from ZT101 & 201) as this will be a much larger project. Please bring your own Micron pens. You may also want to bring your own #03 or #04 round brush. The paper, ink washes, gold gilding and some brushes (to borrow) will be provided. These materials are included in the cost of the class. The finished size will be 11"x 14". You will be learning more tangles so please bring a small sketchbook to practice them in first.

Zentangle at CG

We are pleased to exclusively offer Zentangle Classes in Lakewood! But what is Zentangle? Our guest teacher, Launie McDevitt explains that "it's an easy to learn method of creating beautiful images from repetitive patterns. Zentangle uses an easy to understand process of simple,deliberate strokes which build upon one another in beautiful, mesmerizing and surprising ways. No artistic skills or experience required. You do not need to know how to draw!" Classes are already scheduling for Monday, May 9th at 6 pm(Zentangle I) and Monday, May 23rd at 6 pm(Zentangle II.)
