Earring Benefit on June 18th

Crafty Goodness will be teaming up with earstoyou.org for a Give a Pair, Take a Pair Earring benefit on Saturday, June 18th from 4-9 pm. Ears to You is a non-profit organization started in 2008 by Ruth Crane. Their tagline is "putting smiles on the faces of female cancer patients one pair of earrings at a time." Read her story here.

Stop by Crafty Goodness, 15621 Madison, and make one pair for $5, 2 pairs for $9 or three pairs for $12. Keep a pair for you, donate one to the organizaton. Something so simple will make such a big impact! Never made earrings yourself before? Don't worry, we will teach you! Drinks and appetizers will also be served. June Events at Crafty Goodness!

There will be LOTS going on for the month of June at Crafty Goodness! Summer is here, school is out...it's time to craft! There are tons of classes appropriate for ages 10 and up, click here for the full list. We are also starting something new: Drop in and Craft! every Thursday from noon to 8 pm. Lots of quick and easy projects that will take no longer than 30 minutes, priced at only $5! Projects include:

Fesi Embroidery and Felted Bead Classes

This Sunday, May 22, guest teacher Emily will be teaching Fesi Embroidery. The class is $25, and will run from 2-4 pm. But what is Fesi Embroidery? It is an amazing style of embroidery where the front looks exactly like the back. If you embroider, this will be a great additional stitch style to learn. If you have never embroidered, it will be a good introduction to how cool stitching can be. And where did our guest teacher learn such a skill? MOROCCO, that's where! Later in the month, Emily will also be teaching felted beads:

Glass Etching this Friday, May 20

Looking for something fun to do, in between all the raindrops? Come to Crafty Goodness this Friday night and take a class! We still have spots in the glass etching class available. You can chemically etch either 4 beer steins or 4 wine glasses with matching charms. Class is $35, from 7-9 pm. Henna Workshop May 27th!

Have you ever wanted to learn the art of Henna? Guest teacher Arooj will be at Crafty Goodness on Friday, May 27th teaching a Henna Workshop. Class Description:

Learn to mix henna powder properly and create application cones. Basic techniques will be taught on holding the cones. You will see how beginners designs evolve into the most intricate and exquisite works of art with practice. Brief history of henna and its many purposes in various cultures will also be covered. Henna and design templates will be provided.

The class will be from 7-9 pm and the cost is only $35. A fun girls night out! Sign up sheet here, or stop at the store.

Buy Local in Lakewood!

Crafty Goodness has teamed up with Goddess Blessed on Madison and The Keyhole Gallery on Detroit for a wonderful way to buy local this Spring. Print your passport here and stop in at each store between now and June 30th. Once you have stopped at each store, and checked out all the awesomeness each store carries, you will be entered into a drawing. The prize is a wonderful gift basket containing goods from each store. Pictures of the basket coming soon! It will be amazing!
